Our RIFCON experts analyse and evaluate the environmental fate and behaviour of plant protection products and active substances in all environmental compartments (soil, surface- and groundwater, sediment and air). Our approaches follow the current EU requirements and country-specific criteria, considering the latest scientific knowledge.
This includes the calculation of predicted concentrations of active substances and their metabolites in the environment (PECs), as well as the review and evaluation of existing data packages and the analysis of laboratory and field studies.
Our team is familiar with a wide range of software applications used for registration at EU and national level, inside and outside the EU. In addition, our team has developed its own assessment tools and also offers customization of exposure and assessment models.
Of course, our team works closely with our colleagues from Ecotoxicology, our experts from the effect modelling and statistics team (e.g. for statistical evaluations) and the specialists from our field department.
Here you can learn more about the environmental fate study types.
