Amphibians and Reptiles

We can fill the data gap for your future registration process.

Since 2008, our experts at RIFCON have been conducting monitoring studies with amphibians and reptiles. In 2014, the team also began performing generic field studies specifically geared to registration processes and focusing on various target species found in agricultural areas, such as cereals or grapes.

In accordance to the EFSA ‘Scientific Opinion on the state of the science on pesticide risk assessment for amphibians and reptiles’, we focussed on generating data on relevance of scenarios, exposure routes and ecological parameters – similar to approaches in the risk assessment of birds and mammals.

Additionally, our experts for amphibians and reptiles actively supported all working groups of the EU-funded COST research network PERIAMAR (PEsticide RIsk AssessMent for Amphibians and Reptiles), which aimed to develop a meaningful general risk assessment approach for both animal classes.
